AC14 Prayer

Prayer Team

The Prayer Team will be active throughout Annual Conference. Prayer Team members will be easily identified by the t-shirts they will be wearing, and can be stopped for prayer when you see them out and about.

Prayer Chapel

Yeilding Chapel at Birmingham-Southern College will serve as the prayer chapel during Annual Conference. Volunteers will be available to pray with you or receive prayer concerns from 2-9:30 p.m. Sunday, 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, and 8-10:45 a.m. on Wednesday. You may also pray alone and in silence. If you would like to volunteer as a host or volunteer to pray at the chapel, please visit https://na-reg.brtapp.com/prayerteam to register.

Prayer Requests

Concerns and celebrations are being accepted by the Prayer Team from now until the end of Annual Conference in a number of ways. You can email your concerns and celebrations to prayer@umcna.org. Prayer cards will be available at strategic spots around the campus during the meeting, and Prayer Team members will periodically pick them up and take them to the chapel. You can also use social media, posting your prayer requests through Facebook or Twitter (#umcnaprayer).

Prayer Labyrinth Workshop

Rev. Roger Short will lead the workshop on May 24, 2014, beginning at 10 a.m. The labyrinth will be created for use during Annual Conference as Rev. Short  teaches attendees how to create a labyrinth, and also instruct the group on how a labyrinth is used for prayer.

Prayer Walk

All are invited to join the group for a walk around the Birmingham-Southern campus, pausing to pray at each venue to be used during our time at Annual Conference. If you would like to lead one of the prayers, contact Lyn Cosby at 205-226-7972 or lcosby@umcna.org.
