About Ethnic Ministries

Ethnic Ministries of the North Alabama Conference resources African-American, Hispanic, Korean, Asian, Native American and other ethnic minority churches local churches in their ministry through training, informing and equipping. Ethnic Ministries also works with New Church Development starting new communities of faith and all other ministries of the Conference to reach new and underrepresented populations within the bounds of the Conference.

Ethnic Ministry in the North Alabama Conference is guided and directed by the Ethnic Ministries Team. This team is composed of twelve members, both clergy and laity, from various backgrounds and ministry contexts across the Annual Conference. Together they work to develop ministry strategies that will empower all ethnic churches to become healthy, vital and effective in making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. An important aspect of the work of Ethnic Ministries is the oversight of the Ethnic Ministries Grant Cohort and partnerships with local churches.
