Bill Crosby was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, in the fall of 1951. His father was a Baptist minister, and he grew in a loving Christian home.
Beginning in 1976, Bill served as pastor in Baptist churches for 25 years. From 2001 until 2017, Bill worked as a senior consultant in stewardship for Resource Ministry Partners, sponsored by the North Alabama United Methodist Foundation, assisting 150-plus United Methodist Churches throughout the Southeast with annual stewardship and capital campaigns.
In 2009, finding his life in total dissary, Bill entered recovery for alcoholism. Through the power of God’s redeeming grace, Bill’s life has been transformed, and he has been clean and sober for 10 years. In 2011, he helped start and served as pastor of The Recovery Church which meets in a halfway house in Bessemer, Alabama. In 2013, he became the weekly chapel preacher at Bradford Treatment Center in Warrior, Alabama. Bill is forever grateful for the mercy and grace that God and the United Methodist Church have shown him.
Presently, Bill is an Associate Pastor at Huntsville First UMC. He continues to work in various recovery ministries and seeks to share the love and grace of Jesus with those who are broken and hopeless, because God loves all of us with a love that will never let us go. Bill is married to Finise and they have six children and 14 grandchildren.
