AC22 Voting

Electronic Voting

Voting will use an online voting system run by GNTV.

Each voting member of the 2022 Annual Conference will be assigned a unique voter ID that will be emailed on Monday, June 20 and then each morning of Annual Conference.

To ensure you receive your voter ID, please make sure the Annual Conference has your current, valid email address. If you are receiving information about Annual Conference, you are go-to-go. If you have not received any emails regarding Annual Conference, contact Conference Registrar Doris McCullers at dmccullers@umcna.org or 205-226-7950. You may also contact your District office to update your email address.

Additionally, all voting members must bring an internet-connected device with a web browser (e.g. Android phone, iPhone, iPad, Surface tablet, Android tablet, laptop, etc.) to Annual Conference 2022. There will be free Wi-Fi available in the Von Braun Center. Most cell phones can also receive a strong signal in South Hall.

Churches are asked to help ensure their clergy and lay members have devices they can use during Annual Conference. Since each member has a unique voter ID, it is possible for members to share a device to cast their votes during business sessions.

What device can I use to cast a vote during business sessions?

Any up-to-date mobile device with a web browser should work.

  • Android phone
  • iPhone
  • iPad
  • Surface tablet
  • Android tablet
  • Laptop computer

Since each member has a unique voter ID, it is possible to share a device with a friend!

About the Electronic Voting System

  1. Only active voter IDs will be able to log in to the voting site.
  2. People can only vote on ballots for which they are eligible to vote.
  3. On Monday, June 13 at 6 p.m. GNTV will host an online training session on the electronic voting system.
  4. There will be an opportunity for members to cast test ballots as business begins on Thursday morning. Annual Conference Tellers and other volunteers will be available to provide tech help as needed to ensure everyone can successfully vote.

Voting ID Help

Any member who did not receive an email with their unique voter ID should visit the Secretary/Voter ID located inside South Hall. An Assistant Annual Conference Secretary will be available to verify voter membership and provide the correct voter ID to those who need them.
