To provide guidance and financial support to new clergy of North Alabama, in a cohort model, as they pursue continuing education and training for the purposes of cultivating excellence and effectiveness in their ministries and for the benefit of the North Alabama Conference.
The CALL program is a cohort model of 4-8 members (6-8 recommended) who develop and engage an approved curriculum for a two year period.
The target group for CALL cohorts is deacons and elders ordained within five years prior to the year of application.
Each cohort will select an approved Mentor who will offer guidance and accountability throughout the two years. The list of approved mentors is included below.
The grant will provide a maximum of $5,000 per year ($10,000 per total project) with the expectation that each member of an approved CALL cohort will contribute $250 per year to the project.
Each approved CALL cohort will be expected to create a presentation of their learnings for the benefit of other clergy and churches in the North Alabama Conference.
The CALL program is made possible through funding from the Board of Ordained Ministry and the Institute for Clergy Excellence (ICE).
