Roswell United Methodist Church - Roswell, Georgia Position: Student Ministry Coordinator Responsible to: Minister to Students - Non-exempt, part-time (25 hours), hourly position General Description: Support the Minister to Students and the Student Ministry Team by providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office, clear communication to the congregation, organization and collaboration with other ministry areas of RUMC, and assistance to families seeking involvement in the Student Ministry program. Specific Job Responsibilities: Support the Minister to Students, Student Ministry Team and Youth Vision Team in achieving the following: 1. Administration • Manage registrations and provide status updates of all programs and events of Roswell Student Ministries. • Maintain accurate records of attendance. Perform all database operations, including data entry, reports, and updates. • Maintain accurate records of financials and manage internal paperwork including invoices, requests for disbursements, credit card statements, and budget communications with Finance Department. • Create and control budget for programs and events. • Act as liaison with the Maintenance Department, promptly reporting any needs that arise in the Dodson Youth Center. • Act as liaison with the church for the scheduling and planning of Student Ministry events and the usage of the Dodson Youth Center. • Coordinate the scheduling of youth activities and events in the Dodson Youth Center in Ministry Platform and Service U. • Schedule and coordinate overnight groups who stay in the Dodson Youth Center. Insure required application, certificate of insurance liability, signed contract, security deposit, and proof of APIP compliance of adult chaperones are received. • Act as liaison to RUMC-sponsored Boy Scout troops, which includes scheduling rooms for meetings and events. 2. Volunteer Development/Management. Develop and manage a system that will recruit, train, deploy, and evaluate adult volunteer chaperones/leaders for annual youth ministry trips/retreats/events. Insure that all Student Ministry volunteers are background screened and trained according to Abuse Prevention and Intervention Procedures (APIP). 3. Trips/Retreats/Events. Serve on trips and retreats as needed. Offer assistance for large events such as Confirmation, AYL, Middle School Camp, and mission trips.
