Director of Communications Job Description Supervisor: Associate Pastor Hours: Full Time Overview The Director of Communications works closely with the Director of Technology and Media to design, develop, coordinate, and print all major publications of the church. Position Duties and Responsibilities • Oversee the development, production, and distribution of all printed material including, but not limited to, newsletters, brochures, flyers, banners, posters, and churchwide emails or mailings • Work closely with the Director of Technology and Communications to design and develop all art and promotional materials related to church wide activities and decide whether materials should/can be designed and/or produced inhouse or need to be outsourced • Design and maintain the digital ads and the digital announcements for Sunday mornings. • Assist with the facilitation of monthly communication committee meetings and encourage and involve lay participation in the overall communications/publications process. • Assist occasionally with video production • Assist occasionally with photography of church related events • Assist with oversight of sound booths during all worship recordings, live streams, and other special events • Work with Lioce group to ensure proper printer maintenance and oversee all service requests • Keep all publication archives current and in order • Other duties as assigned Qualifications o Working knowledge of Adobe Suite
