Facilities Maintenance Team Member


Primary Responsibilities: To assist the Facilities Supervisor in the maintenance and repair of buildings and grounds of Sumatanga Camp and Conference Center. Reports to: Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor.

Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in facilities maintenance preferred Ability to work within a team environment supporting staff as needed to meet the goals of the organization Knowledge of general maintenance methods and/or basic construction preferred Ability to work independently to complete projects in a timely fashion with the focus on customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Facilities/Maintenance Supervisor, the employee will: Work on construction/maintenance projects under the direction of the facility manager Help to set up and break down venues and props for meetings and gatherings General maintenance/upkeep of the campus Assist with the installation and servicing of building equipment Any other duties as assigned by the direct supervisor or Executive Director.

Performance/Success Factors: Must be punctual to work and/or any other related functions; Must complete work in a timely, accurate and thorough manner; must be conscientious about the quality of your work and willing to accept constructive criticism Must be able to prioritize daily tasks and events Must be a self-starter able to work both independently and within the framework of a team.

The facilities maintenance position is a part-time position with flexible work hours depending on the season and activity on campus. The daily/weekly schedule will be set by the direct supervisor and/or the Executive Director. References and background checks will be required.
