Facilities Manager at Saint Mark UMC

Saint Mark United Methodist Church in Vestavia Hills, AL is seeking its next Facilities Manager. This position is part-time and reports to the Senior Pastor.

The Facilities Manager will oversee the management and operations of all the physical facilities of the church, which includes providing oversight for the buildings, grounds, parking lots, equipment, and building systems. Ensure the facilities are fully operational, safe, clean, and neat, and prepared for services and ministry activities. Accomplish cleaning by managing a housekeeping service provider, as well as personally provide cleaning where needed. Oversee and perform maintenance/repairs for the church building, equipment (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical) and property, or act as church representative with outside contractors and inspectors coming onto the property or into the building.

The ideal candidate would have experience in facility upkeep, maintenance, repair, and the ability to manage service providers. Strong organizational skills are desired.

The Facilities Manager will be joining a team-first environment and should be able to collaborate with church staff.
