Annual Conference Kids Camp and Childcare Director

The Annual Conference Planning Team is seeking to hire a Kids Camp and Annual Conference Childcare Director. This individual will be responsible for all aspects of childcare at Annual Conference including Kids Camp and the nursery. As part of this role, the Director will create a fun and safe environment for children whose parents, grandparents, or other guardians are attending Annual Conference.

This is a season/part-time paid position that will last through June. While only a commitment for the current year is required, preference will be given if this position continues in the future. In the future, this position is expected to last from January through June. In addition to a stipend, lodging will provided during Annual Conference if the director is not local to the Huntsville area.

The ideal candidate will:

• Have extensive experience in children's ministry including Safe Sanctuaries
• Have or be able to develop connections throughout the Conference, and particularly in the Huntsville area, for recruiting volunteers
• Be organized and a self-starter, able to manage logistics and other details

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Recruiting and training volunteers both for the nursery (on-site at the Von Braun Center for younger children) and Kids Camp (off-site for older children) based on registration numbers
• Ensuring that all volunteers have a current background check on file and have completed training on the Conference Safe Sanctuaries policy
• Ensuring that a safe environment exists for all childcare settings, including that Safe Sanctuaries policies are followed
• Planning activities during Kids Camp
• Managing the logistics of Kids Camp including meals, transportation to and from the Von Braun Center, and similar tasks
