Rev. G. Brown O’Quinn


Rev. G. Brown O’Quinn died April 16, 2015.  Rev. O’Quinn was a retired elder living in Virginia

The arrangements are as follows:

  • Services will be in Virginia on on Friday, April 24, 2015.
  • A Chapel Service for Alabama family and friends will be 2 p.m. on May 1, 2015, at Elmwood Chapel in Birmingham, Alabama. 
  • Interment of Ashes will take place in Elmwood Cemetery. 
Rev. O’Quinn was licensed to preach in 1951 and ordained an elder in 1958.  During his ministry he served Crim Memorial; McDonald Chapel; Oak Bowery Ct;  Five Points Roanoke; Green Acres; Weaver; North Highlands; Gordo First; Jonesboro; Anniston McCoy Memorial; Gadsden East; Langdale; Lakewood; Red Bay First; Aliceville; and Sulligent UMCs. He retired in 1990.  In retirement, he volunteered at the University of Alabama and worked at the VA Hospital in Tuscaloosa during Desert Storm. He served as a pastor in four additional appointments after retirement, including three located in Virginia.
