Rev. Travis A. Warlick


Retired elder Rev. Travis A. Warlick died on Saturday, January 7, 2012.

The arrangements are as follows.

  • The funeral will be Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at noon at Julia Street UMC in Boaz. There will be a special section reserved for clergy. Clergy are asked to wear robes.
  • Visitation will precede the funeral at 10 a.m.
  • Interment will be at Jefferson memorial in Trussville at 2:30, the family will receive visitors at the funeral home there afterward.

Rev. Warlick was ordained an elder in 1953. During his ministry he served Crawfords Cove Circuit; Moody Circuit; Warrior; Langdale; Fort Payne First; Hueytown First; Conference Missionary Secretary; Director Conference Program; McCoy; Sheffield First; Albertville First; Florence District Superintendent; Director of Conference Council on Ministries; Sylacauga District Superintendent; and Holmes Street UMCs. He retired in 1991.

Bishop Will Willimon says, “We give thanks for the life and ministry of Travis Warlick. He served our Conference faithfully for many years providing leadership not only to the local churches he served, but to our Conference as a whole through his time on Conference staff and as a District Superintendent. We are grateful for that gift.”
