Rev. David C. Cook


Rev. David C. Cook, retired U.S. army chaplain, died Jan. 16, 2014. 

Arrangements are as follows:

  • A funeral service was held on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2014, in Virginia.
  • A Graveside Service for Chaplain Cook will be held in Tuscumbia,  AL at the Shoals Memorial Gardens at 2 p.m. on Wednesday January 22, 2014.

Major Cook was a Retired Elder in the North Alabama Conference. He was ordained Deacon in 1972 and Elder in 1975. He served the Cherokee County Parish as Associate Director; Duncan-New Site; Gadsden First Associate; Jennings Chapel; Trinity Huntsville Associate; and Cordova/Long Memorial UMCs before becoming an Army Chaplain for 25 years. David was appointed in the Virginia Conference in 2007. He retired in 2012.
