Dr. Sammy M. Stabler

Dr. Sammy M. Stabler died March 21, 2015.  Dr. Stabler is a retired elder and the grandfather of Rev. Mark Adams, associate pastor of Guntersville First UMC.

The arrangements are as follows.

• Visitation will be Wednesday, March 25, 2015, from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. at Perry Funeral Home in Centre, Alabama (1611 East Bypass, Centre, AL 35960)
• The service will follow at 7 p.m. 
• Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 26 in Gordo, Alabama. 

Rev. Stabler was ordained an elder in 1947. During his ministry he served Panola; Ethelville; New Market; Danville; Cullman West; Hanceville; Bangor; Hargrove; Gordo First; Lafayette; Lafayette Mills; Gadsden Bellevue; Centre First/ Parker Grove; and St. James (Florence) UMCs. He retired in 1985.
