The North Alabama Conference has an UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) network warehouse. It serves the Southeastern United States and foreign countries. It is located in Decatur, AL.
For more information Click on: http://umdisasterwarehouse.com/, then click on “UMCOR Kits.” If you or your congregation has a donation of needed supplies for a disaster response effort, please contact the UMDisasterWarehouse.Com or 256-341-9961. It is staffed by volunteers. So make sure you call before you plan your trip to the warehouse.
Located: 35 minutes south of the Tennessee state line just off Interstate 65
Directions: On Interstate 65, take Exit 334 and go West 4.2 miles to a big four lane intersection. Turn left (South) on Hwy 31.
Go exactly one mile and be in the left turn lane in the median. You are turning between two car lots of the Ford dealership.
Go to the first brown warehouse on your left, which is warehouse "F". Drive around back and come to the middle door. You can drive inside the building when it is bad weather. The letter "F" is four feet tall, so you should be able to find it. If you need help finding us, call 256-341-9961 OR 256-642-1759.
IMPORTANT: Please call ahead and let us know when you are coming. We operate six day a week. Closed on Sunday. Be sure to bring church members with you and a camera. They will enjoy looking around and see what United Methodists are doing. If you have time, volunteer for an hour or so. Overnight camping at Point Mallard is only twelve minutes away and is welcomed! You may want to visit the Space Museum in Huntsville, which can take one plus days.
