Global Ministries Multiethnic Ministries Unit Grants 2021-2022
Missions
Mission work is our connector to the troubled world. We are called to be in the mission field, the harvest is plenty but laborers are few. When we are willing to be sent by God to alleviate human suffering, this world will be a better place to live. Mission work gives us the opportunity to make a holistic approach in the life of humanity, body, mind, and soul. In order for us to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world, we need to continue to labor in the vineyard.
Are you supporting missionaries? Get connected with missionaries from “Everywhere to Everywhere.” Opportunities are available for your church to support missionaries and their ministries. We are still in mission! Mission resources are also available through Global Ministries, www.umcmission.org
Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and curing every disease and every sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore ask the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.’ (Matthew 9:35-38 NRSV)
Mission:
Encourage disciples to grow and go make more disciples through missions locally, regionally and globally.
Vision:
Conference full of vibrant, contextualized, disciple-making missions.
