Moving Forward Together

Moving Forward Together is a new hybrid (online and in-person) missional effort of the North Alabama Conference designed to help us move past disaffiliations and move forward into the future together.

Moving Forward Together was created by New and Renewing Churches in partnership with North Alabama Conference leaders, pastors, and congregations to provide support and resources for people feeling abandoned or displaced from their local United Methodist Church due to disaffiliation. We welcome anyone who desires to remain connected to the United Methodist Church through discipleship, mission, sacrament, and worship.

Pastoral Care:

If you need a pastor to help you process and deal with your emotions regarding disaffiliation, email MovingForwardTogether@umcna.org.

We will identify pastor(s) in your district who are ready and willing to assist. Our pastors are there to encourage, listen, provide support, and pray for you.

Additionally, if you need a pastor to bless communion in your small group, do a hospital visit or perform a wedding or funeral, let us know.
