Global Ministries Multiethnic Ministries Unit Grants 2021-2022
Multicultural Ministries
Multicultural Ministries of the North Alabama Conference resources African American, Hispanic, Korean, Asian, Native American, and other ethnic minority churches local churches in their ministry through training, informing, and equipping. Multicultural Ministries also works with New Church Development starting new communities of faith and all other ministries of the Conference to reach new and underrepresented populations within the bounds of the Conference.
Multicultural Ministry in the North Alabama Conference is guided and directed by the ministries team composed of members, both clergy and laity, from different races, cultures, and ministry contexts across the Annual Conference. Together they work to develop ministry strategies that will empower all ethnic churches to become healthy, vital, and effective in making disciples for Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. An important aspect of the work of Multicultural Ministries is the oversight of the Multicultural Ministries Grant Cohort and partnerships with local churches.

Northern Illinois Conference Civil Rights Pilgrimage visits Birmingham
The group was welcomed at New Beginnings UMC for lunch and a taste of southern hospitality before visiting some of the city's historic sites of the Civil Rights Movement.
