For Jerusalem’s Sake, the handsome and captivating 290-page look at the North Alabama Conference’s ministries over the past 150 years, is sponsored by the North Alabama Conference’s Historical Society and Commission on Archives and History as their contribution to the conference’s sesquicentennial.
This year, 2020, marks 150 years since the North Alabama Conference was founded. A sesquicentennial is often a time used to look back with pride at what has been accomplished.
Bishop Deborah Wallace-Padgett will give an overview of her eight years as the Episcopal leader of our conference. Additionally, Conference Lay Leader Steve Lyles, will present his thoughts on Conference, District. and Local Church Lay Leaders; giving consideration to Conference Lay Leaders of past years.
The North Alabama Conference Historical Society Spring meeting will be at Birmingham First United Methodist Church in the fellowship hall on Saturday, March 7, 2015. Everyone is invited to attend. Those staying for lunch should make reservations before March 1.
