The Commission on the Status and Role of Women is eager to read your submissions about barrier breakers who have made a difference in your local church and community during the past year.
COSROW hopes that every North Alabama United Methodist congregation will hear from a female preacher on at least one Sunday during the month of March.
The topic of Rev. Royston’s keynote for the COSROW breakfast will be her experience as a young black woman in ministry and the importance of mentorship.
Each year the North Alabama COSROW presents the award to a leader in our Conference who is willing to take risks in order to advocate for women and marginalized communities.
Nominees should fit the following criteria: A person who has exhibited dynamic leadership in the local church, the community, district and conference levels and who shows courage and willingness to serve will stand up for the rights of women and ethnic minority persons and who is willing to take risks.
