Mt. Mariah UMC in the Northeast District held an Access & Disability Awareness Service on Sunday, August 10, 2014. Photos by the Hartselle Enquirer  Forrest Chapel United Methodist Church members hosted a Special Needs Splash Pad party Saturday on June 28, 2014, at the John Mark Stallings Special Needs Accessible Playground (SNAP) in Hartselle.   More than 65 people attended the event – about 25 of whom were children with special needs and their families. “Change the World” is an annual event held each May throughout the United Methodist Church. It is about coming together in community and across the denomination to personify the love of Christ. This year United Methodists completed world-changing projects in more than 1,500 locations worldwide. Bluff Park Promise Home dedication ceremony to be June 9

Bluff Park UMC in Hoover will celebrate the dedication of the Bluff Park Promise Home on Sunday, June 9, at 4 p.m. The Bluff Park UMC congregation built and furnished this six bedroom home on its campus to be used as a residential group home to house six adults living with autism in a residential group home environment.
