New deadline for filing 2016 W2s and W3s is January 31, 2017


The US Treasury has changed the filing due date for all employer’s 2016 W2s and W3 to January 31, 2017.  The date for providing your employees with their 2016 W2 remains the same, January 31, as has been the rule for a number of years. Federal judge grants injunction blocking enforcement of new overtime rule


A federal judge in the Eastern District of Texas granted a nationwide injunction blocking the enforcement of the FLSA overtime rule that was to take effect on Dec. 1, 2016. The rule would raise the salary level required for overtime exemption from $23,660 to $47,476. Many church employees who are not clergy are among those who would be affected by the regulation.
