Conference virtual Pentecost Sunday Worship Service now available


Bishop Debra Wallace-Padgett and the Conference Leadership Team have posted a virtual Pentecost Sunday Worship Service as a resource for North Alabama Conference churches and individuals. The virtual service is made up of short video segments. Worshippers are invited to follow the order of worship and play each video as they progress through the service. Connectional Ministries to hold “We Love Our Churches” Open House on February 10-13, 2020

Almost 75 years ago, a man named Ben Davis made an agreement with the Montgomery City Council that allowed him to erect a pedestal in the city's court square. He placed an open Bible on the pedestal under a heavy glass cover. This pedestal was close to where, a decade later, Rosa Parks waited on a bus and ultimately helped changed history. Union Chapel UMC celebrates 160 years in ministry


On Sunday, October 20, 2019, Union Chapel UMC in Cordova (Central District) celebrated its 160th birthday. In preparation for the big day, the church Trustees readied the fellowship hall and grounds for guests and the ladies of the church prepared a covered dish meal.  There were more than 60 persons in worship including several former and retired pastors. Aldersgate UMC and partner congregations celebrate Biker Sunday to help Children's Hospital


On September 22, 2019, Aldersgate UMC in Dora, Alabama,  (Central District) sponsored their 2nd Annual Biker Sunday. Fifty-six people attended and raised $600 for Children's Hospital of Alabama. Gary Harris a Lay Member of the Aldersgate Church was successful in organizing the ride and collecting donations from more than twenty merchants from around North Alabama.
