On August 3, 2019, more than120 people gathered at Hokes Bluff First UMC in the Mountain Lakes District to build 100 beds for children in Alabama who do not have a bed to sleep on at night. Sleep in Heavenly Peace, a ministry in Southside, Alabama, sponsored this mission. The 120 volunteers included church members as well as people from the surrounding community in Etowah County.
