New gift endows Candler School of Theology deanship


A gift from the estate of Mary Lee Hardin Willard of Gadsden, Alabama, has created a permanently funded endowment to support the position of the dean of Emory's Candler School of Theology. BSC, Cumberland sign agreement to form joint undergraduate and law program


Students at Birmingham-Southern College will be able to complete an undergraduate degree from BSC and a law degree from the Cumberland School of Law in six years under a new program the two schools are creating. Urban Ministry's WE Cafe celebrates first anniversary


The WE Community Cafe in the West End neighborhood of Birmingham recently had a celebratory lunch marking its first year of existence. People from the neighborhood were joined by a large crowd of friends and supporters for a lunch of linguini with marinara or alfredo sauce, fruit and cheese, salad, bread and birthday cake.
