Central District to host Innovate/Invite: Preaching in a New Generation workshop on Jan. 29-30, 2018

The Central District invites Pastors to attend a Preaching Workshop on January 29-30, 2018 at Vestavia Hills UMC.

Preaching is at the heart of what pastors do. Each pastor works hard to prayerfully engage the scriptures each week to share the "Word" in many different and faithful ways. One of the barriers pastors face is preaching in an ever-changing and challenging way.

The Central District is proud to offer pastors an opportunity to grow their preaching by creating innovative and invitational approaches to reach new generations for Christ. Featured Speakers are Leonard Sweet and Ron Martoia.
Leonard Sweet is a scholar of American culture—a semiotician who "sees things the rest of us do not see and dreams possibilities that are beyond most of our imagining." He's a preacher and best-selling author who communicates the Gospel with a signature bridging of the worlds of faith, academe, and popular culture.

Ron Martoia is a transformational architect. His passion is helping people and the organizations they serve to design, build and experience revolutionary change. Over the last 10 years, Ron has spoken to more than 30,000 leaders in conference settings from Catalyst to Willow Creek.

Cost is $30, which includes lunch both days. Registration closes January 20, 2018.
