A special note of thanks to Rev. Richard L. Stryker who has served as Conference Disaster Response Team Coordinator since 2003. "Richard has the wonderful gifts of optimism and vision. Under his leadership, the disaster response team was taken to a new level of effectiveness. His efforts were crucial to our conference's response to the Katrina disaster. He will be greatly missed," according to Rev. Patrick Friday, Conference Director of Mission & Advocacy.
