Patrick Friday to take General Board of Global Ministries staff position in January
North Alabama’s Director of Mission and Advocacy Rev. Patrick Friday has been named the new Director of Special Mission Initiatives at the General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM). Rev. Friday will assume his new role in January 2007.
One of the areas this new position will focus on is Evangelism and Church Growth in Eastern Europe where Patrick has spent years working with Methodist Churches. Additional geographical areas he will focus on are Asia, Africa and South America.
"I am gratful for my time working at the Conference level," Rev. Friday said. "This new opportunity to serve at the General Church level is a broadening of my passion of building relationships between local churches and global missions."
"I look forward to continuing working with North Alabama Conference churches as they seek to do God's work around the world. Our commitments to those in the mission field will continue to grow and develop in new ways."
He adds, "I look forward to working with you as we continue this journey together."
