United Methodist Children's Home Has New Symbol of Hope - A New Logo!

2/26/2009

United Methodist Children's Home (UMCH)is at another pivotal point in its long and strong history. Just as they've done for more than a century, the ministry foresee changes happening in the general environment of childcare and  proactively evolve to best meet the needs of today … as well as establishing an even stronger foundation to care for children well into the future.

UMCH is changing the way we think about appropriate childcare and improving their services to children and families in order to make an even more dramatic and positive impact on their lives. They are reorganizing the staff, regions, fundraising and awareness efforts, and leadership … all to better serve children and families in the most efficient and effective way possible.

So now is the perfect time to re-energize the passion supporters have for UMCH … and to reach the next generation that will continue the strong tradition of supporting this mission-driven, healing ministry. We designed an iconic symbol that embraces our mission in a simple, visual way.

The new logo is unique and will stand out among all the others, just as UMCH does in excellent service to children and families. They want supporters and partners to recognize the difference in their ministry, and feel affection and confidence when they view thelogo.

UMCH's mission is to follow the example of Christ by embracing all God’s children … on child, one family at a time. Clarifying the century-old tradition of this vital ministry, the logo brightly illustrates this mission bringing focus to an embracing heart.

The bright colors symbolize more happy memories of childhood … a hope and goal the ministry has for the children and young people it serves. The heart is embossed into a symbol of diversity, representing the various programs serving a diverse population. The United Methodist symbol is infused into the logo to identify our church connection … and emphasize the important spiritual aspect of our services to children and families.

"We hope that whenever you see our logo, you easily recognize who we are and feel the loving embrace of the heart in our mission shared by all of our caring staff members, Board members and foster families,"
UMCH says in an introduction to the new logo.

If you would like to use the logo in your publications to help connect this ministry with yours, you can find downloadable logo files on website, http://www.umch.net./ Go to the Media Center / Press Room from the homepage menu.
