Section UMW display the “Connectional System” at work.

Nine ladies of the Section United Methodist Women reached out through our connectional system and joined with more than 30 women of the Loganville, Georgia United Methodist Women for a weekend retreat at Hinton Rural Village in Hayesville, North Carolina.

The ladies had three days of fun, food, fellowship, games, quite times and inspirational talks by the keynote speaker, Sue Raymond of the Georgia Conference United Methodist Women.

Music was led by Bonnie Monk, a US-2 missionary from the Oregon Conference.  Bonnie is currently serving as Community Ministry Coordinator for the Upper Sand Mountain Parish.

The theme of the weekend was “Come to the Table” with activities, discussions and arts and crafts focusing on that theme.

Apparently all of the women present must have enjoyed themselves for they are already looking forward to the next “connectional” retreat.
