Society of St. Andrew still in running for $250,000 grant

10/14/2010

The Society of St. Andrew has been gleaning fields and feeding hungry Americas for 31 years now, and hopes to receive a boost in its ministry from the Pepsi Refresh Challenge.

In September, SoSA came in number 14 out of more than 300 organizations in its category for a $250,000 grant from Pepsi. They finished well enough to be entered into the October voting.

They ask you to join in, and support them by voting each day. You can vote through Facebook, on the Pepsi Refresh website, and by texting. Find information at www.EndHunger.org.

If they win in October, the money will cover the cost of providing 9 million servings of fresh fruits and vegetables to hungry Americans coast-to-coast.
