During the second week of February Bishop Willimon will be speaking and preaching in Ireland at Trinity College, Dublin. He will speak on, “Why Jesus is a Threat to the Modern University.” The next day he will then lead a day of renewal for the Methodist and Anglican clergy of Ireland. He then travels to Belfast, Northern Ireland where he will lead a preaching workshop for all Methodist clergy in Belfast, Northern Ireland. He ends his week with a conversation on urban ministry at the Belfast Methodist Mission.
“I have learned much on my past visits to Ireland,” said Bishop Willimon. “The parallels between what Methodists are doing in Belfast and what we’re doing in urban ministry here are striking.”
This spring Bishop Willimon will also be preaching at the National Cathedral and Harvard’s Memorial Church.
