New Horizons UMC reaches out to their community through Biker Sunday event

Earlier this year New Horizons UMC in Huntsville organized an event to step out of the box and reach out to its community.

On August 19, 2012, the church held a Biker Sunday open to the entire community. That day more than 160 people attended worship.  Music was provided by The Hellfighters and God’s Praise Gospel Band.

New Horizons pastor Rev. Alan Richardson says, “The church was packed and overflowed into the parking lot where speakers were set up in anticipation of record setting attendance. Following the Spirit Inspired service, our executive chefs provided a gourmet meal of Hot Dogs and Chili for everyone who worshiped with us … plus many from the neighborhood.”
