New Horizons UMC welcomes many visitors on Biker Sunday

On Sunday, February 17, 2013, New Horizons UMC in Huntsville held a biker Sunday.

New Horizons pastor Rev. Alan Richardson explains, “It was a cold day with temperatures starting out as low as 20 degrees… but the bikers came by the droves in spite of the cold to hear “God’s Praise” and worship at New Horizons.”

He says, “Counting the number present was hard since everyone was moving around in this standing room only situation. The best estimates were that there were at least 180 present for worship and the fellowship meal afterwards.”

Rev. Richardson adds, “The Holy Spirit was present and many came forward to seek forgiveness and rededicate their lives to Christ. What a Blessing this Sunday was!”

The congregation is already planning for next year’s Biker Sunday scheduled for May 2014.
