BSC and Magic City Smooth Jazz to hold community concert and festival April 7


Birmingham-Southern College and Magic City Smooth Jazz will present a “Jazz on the Hilltop” community concert and festival on Sunday, April 7, featuring Overfloe, Chad Fisher, and the BSC Jazz Band.

“Jazz on the Hilltop” will be held from 4-6 p.m. at the Lake Park on campus. The concert is being held in conjunction with the college’s “Forward, Ever Birmingham” program observing the 50th anniversary of the 1963 civil rights movement.

Everyone is invited to this free, public, family-friendly event. Guests are encouraged to bring folding chairs and blankets to get comfortable on the lawn. There will be an inflatable play area for kids and plenty of food vendors.

The concert will be held rain or shine. Corporate sponsors include Coca Cola, Full Moon BBQ, Steel City Pops, Melt, and Prideline Transportation.
