Harambee 2014: Conference for Youth ages 12-18

Youth, ages 12-18 (Grades 7-12) are invited to participate in HARAMBEE Youth Conference 2014.
Place: Bethune Cookman University, Daytona Beach, Florida;
Date: June 25-29, 2014
Cost: $280 per participant (youth or adult). Fee includes all meals, housing, materials and activities (exclude transportation).

Scholarships are available for first time attendees.

NAC Ethnic Ministries is committed to assisting with transportation. Please contact Ms. Kathy Stallworth at kj_worth@hotmail.com to sign up for transportation and if you have question on the Harambee process.

The conference takes place annually to help youth develop skills that will increase their spiritual life, improve their leadership abilities and teach them the value of their interpersonal relationships.

The youth develop strong bonds that last a lifetime, and learn how to bridge the gap between generations.

The conference also provides an opportunity for the youth and adults to explore what it really means to work together in Christian love.

The word harambee is South African in origin and means “Let’s pull together.” The Conference is presented by the Southeast Jurisdiction Black Methodist for Church Renewal, Inc.
