Conference-Wide Day of Service scheduled for Sept. 28, 2014

6/25/2014

Conference-Wide Mission Activity, Sept. 28, 2014

Many of us in the Birmingham area have seen the impact of people coming together on one day, and making a difference in our communities.  For the past two years, the Magic City Miracle, led by United Methodists such as Rev. Wade Griffith and his team at Liberty Crossings UMC and many others, has mobilized thousands of people in the Birmingham area on a Sunday in September.

This year, the conference as a whole wanted to see if we could dream bigger, and expand the Magic City Miracle to other areas of the conference outside of Birmingham.

We are looking for projects and organizations who might have work for volunteers to do on September 28. If outside the Birmingham area, these projects would be responsible for coordinating with volunteers and managing them.  We hope that this invitation to be part of this exciting event will lead to more mobilization of the body of Christ in the North Alabama Conference.

If your project is outside the Birmingham area, and wants to participate in this event on Sept 28, or if you have questions, please contact me at mlacey@umcna.org
