In light of a particularly troubling year, you and your congregation are invited to reclaim a spirit of peace this Advent season. This year’s theme is Peace Be With You— and this seasonal devotional booklet from the Society of St. Andrew is available to you and your faith family at no cost.
This year’s theme celebrates God’s longstanding and all-powerful promises of peace. The Lord’s promises should provide you comfort knowing that no matter the trial or the enemy, as the Creator of the universe, the Lord’s peace is abundantly available to all. This devotional series is intended to help readers find rest and renewal in the busy days ahead.
This Advent devotional program provides a powerful opportunity for your congregation to feed their spiritual hunger as well as to give in support of the Society of St. Andrew’s feeding ministries, reflecting Jesus’ own concern for the least, the last, and the lost.
These free Advent resources are used by hundreds of congregations of all denominations across the United States. These daily devotions – all new for 2020 – include the stories and experiences of people of faith, both pastors and lay persons, from all walks of life.
More information and order form is available at https://endhunger.org/advent/.
Please, place your bulk order soon, to ensure availability. Only 20,000 copies were printed and so far over 6,000 copies have already been ordered.
If your congregation has returned to in-person worship, you may wish to order print copies, in bulk for your congregation. (It is recommended to order sooner than later. Fewer copies were printed this year due to many still worshipping remotely).
If your congregation continues to worship remotely, you can still participate as one group in this season's study.
(Download and share the online .PDF version with your congregation.)
As always, there is no charge to use the devotional booklets, but the Society of St. Andrew requests that congregations prayerfully consider giving an offering of love to SoSA to share healthy food with hungry people, right here in the United States.
