King’s Memorial UMC consecrates new sanctuary


On June 22, 2014, Bishop Debra Wallace-Padgett joined Pastor Rod Stallworth, members and friends of King’s Memorial UMC for the consecration of the congregation’s new sanctuary and the furnishing. Bishop Wallace-Padgett delivered the sermon affirming the work of the congregation.

Also participating on this special occasion were Northwest District Superintendent Rev. Kelly Clem; the Reverend Watt T. Washington, a past pastor of the church, Director of Ethnic Ministries Dr. Richard Stryker, and Northwest District Lay Leader Keith Russell.  After the worship service, a reception was held in the church fellowship hall.

The groundbreaking for the sanctuary was held on March 17, 2013
