On Sunday, September 28, 2014, the 3rd annual Magic City Miracle community day of service will take place in and around Birmingham. Building on the success of previous years, in 2014 the Magic City Miracle planning team expects to put 4000 volunteers in the community serving at more than 135 locations.
Birmingham area congregations and ministry organizations can support this North Alabama United Methodist initiative by providing Ministry Project Sites (places people can serve on Sept. 28) and Volunteer Site Leaders (people to coordinate the volunteers at those project sites).
In other words, this is a chance to connect the greater Birmingham community to a ministry project with which your congregation or organization is already involved, or one your you dream of doing for the community. Best of all, there is zero cost to your congregation to participate!
For more information contact Magic City Miracle Projects Coordinator Margaret Ann Mayfield at Margaret.firstname.lastname@example.org.
There is a sense of urgency to fill the Magic City Miracle website with projects before volunteers start to sign up to serve, so please make contact soon!
