Help needed to alter bed sheets for hospitals in developing nations

August 20, 2014

Rev. Ray Crump is asking for North Alabama United Methodists to assist the United Methodist Disaster Warehouse in Decatur with a current project to help hospitals in developing nations.

The Disaster Warehouse currently has a large supply of king and queen size sheets. These sheets need to be cut and sewn to be “hospital bed” size. The resized sheets will be shipped to developing nations to be used in hospitals, which often do not have a supply of sheets for their patients.

Individuals or church groups who would like to help with the project may contact the Disaster Warehouse at 256-341-9961 to schedule a time to pick up a supply of the sheets to alter. The finished sheets should be returned to the Disaster Warehouse by October 14, 2014.

The United Methodist Disaster Warehouse is located at 3220 Hwy 31 South, Building F, Decatur, AL 35603.
