Disasters—Keeping Volunteers, Workers, and Responders Safe
Are you helping to clean up, rebuild, or support other response and recovery efforts after a flood, earthquake, storm, fire, or other disasters? If so, then it’s a good idea to be prepared and informed about how you can stay safe and healthy while responding.
Join CDC’s Emergency Partners Information Connection and the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health to learn how to reduce risk from injuries, chemical exposures, environmental hazards, and psychological stressors. CDC will host this webinar on August 21 at noon (1 p.m. Eastern Time). Closed captioning will be available. Participants can earn CEU, CHES, and CPH continuing education units.

Disaster Response Warehouse needs Tarps
I also received this from the Disaster Response Warehouse in Decatur, Alabama.
Due to all the recent disasters, there is an urgent need for Tarps of ALL sizes. Encourage your congregations to begin a drive for collecting Tarps. Then deliver them as soon as possible to the Warehouse located at 3220 Hwy 31 South, Building F, Decatur, AL 35603. Call ahead to schedule a delivery time at (256) 341-9961. And thanks ahead of time for your generous support.
