Disaster Response Update: West Virginia now accepting ERT teams for flooding response

The West Virginia Annual Conference is now accepting ERT volunteers.  Sandy Binotto, Volunteer in Mission Coordinator for the West Virginia Conference, is the primary contact. She is currently in charge of processing all the individual volunteers and teams.

Click here for the registration form that each team/individual is asked to fill out and send to West Virginia. Complete the form and email it to yashe4jc@hotmail.com. Once your registration has been received, West Virginia area Disaster Coordinators will work to get your team placed.

Additionally, the need in West Virginia from the recent floods go deeper than mucking out houses and replacing household and personal items.  The deepest needs are for spiritual and emotional care.  The North Alabama Conference Disaster Response and Recovery Team, we have a Spiritual And Emotional Team Leader, Rev. Charlie Brown.  He will be leading a Spiritual and Emotional Care Team to West Virginia on August 2-6, 2016.  If you have had training such as Chaplain, emotional/spiritual care, social work or similar experiences and would like to be a part of this team, contact Charlie at charlie.brown@umcna.org as soon as possible.

Remember to love God with all your heart, love others the way God loves you, and make sure all the glory goes to Him!

In His Grace,
Randy Burbank
Disaster Response Coordinator for the North Alabama Annual Conference
