Early Response Team training to be offered in September

The Conference Disaster Response and Recovery Task Team is offering Early Response Team training at five different locations this month.

Participants are asked to pre-register online so that there will be enough training materials for everyone and that the host church can provide sufficient snacks for everyone.

The trainings will be held on Saturdays from 8 a.m. until approximately 1 p.m. Sign in and pictures for badges will be from 8-8:30 a.m. Training will be from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The cost is $35 per person to cover the costs of training materials, background checks, host church expenses and an ERT T-Shirt.

Remember that the relief phase from the recent hurricanes will be ongoing for several weeks, even months.  All areas affected by Harvey and Irma are requiring that all volunteers have some type of training and badges. UMCOR training is recognized as the best in these times.
