Forrest Chapel UMC to tell the story of Jesus love to the Hartselle community through The Stations of the Cross

March 01, 2016

Forrest Chapel UMC is reaching out to the Hartselle community in a creative way.
Rev. David Teel, Forrest Chapel UMC Senior Pastor,  explains, “Last year the youth held a Stations of the Cross at the church and several of our members were deeply moved by this experience. This year, our youth leaders decided we wanted everyone in our community to have the same opportunity.”
This year the congregation has taken a bold step and is renting space at the Hartselle Fine Arts Center. Additionally, they are inviting other churches to help tell the story of Jesus’ love.
They will tell that story through a Stations of the Cross event.  The Stations of the Cross are a series of interactive scenes depicting Jesus Christ on the day of his crucifixion.  There are 13 stations arranged around a path to trace the steps that Jesus walked.  Each station is interactive.
The event will be March 6, 2016 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the Hartselle Fine Arts Center, 307 College St. NE, Hartselle, AL. Admission is free. Call or Text for reservations: 256-612-0947.
