Hope for Recovery event to equip churches to be places for post-pandemic healing

July 21, 2022

Hope for Recovery will be on Aug. 20, 2022, at Macedonia UMC in Northport (Southwest District). This day of worship, visioning, learning and networking about how to grow Celebrate Recovery in your community to reach more people for Jesus Christ is designed for congregations who currently have a Celebrate Recovery (or CR) ministry as well as congregations looking to start a CR ministry.

The effects of COVID are still lingering in the form of depression, anxiety, fear, and much more. In this post-pandemic world, how can the Church be a place for healing? Celebrate Recovery is a ministry program designed to help those struggling with a hurt, pain or addiction of any kind - including post-pandemic issues.

This event is an in-depth informational meeting for both pastors and laity. There will be a refresher course for existing CRs covering T.E.A.M. and breakout sessions for Latino Ministry.

The event is free with an optional $10 lunch.
