"Ignite" event will help churches discover young adult spiritual leaders

December 07, 2015

The Ethnic Ministries Team of the North Alabama Conference invites you to a special event designed to help church leaders discover the gifts of the young people in their churches. Ignite will be on Dec. 19, 2015, at the United Methodist Center in Birmingham.

Dr. Clinton Hubbard, Executive Director of Ethnic Ministries says, "In our vision to discover spiritual leaders, Ethnic Ministries is presenting an event to help discover young adult spiritual leaders. We want to help our churches discover the gifts that our young adults have."

During this Saturday event, participants will hear success stories, share lunch, and leave inspired.

The theme for the event comes from Exodus 3:3 — Moses said, “What’s going on here? I can’t believe this! Amazing! Why doesn’t the bush burn up?”

The facilitator for the event will be Rodney Parker, Director of Children and Youth Ministry at Center Grove UMC. He will share advice to guide and inspire participants.

Lunch is included.

To register, contact Doris McCullers. at 205-226-7950 or dmccullers@umcna.org. To adequately prepare materials and lunch; please note the registration deadline of December 11, 2015.
