Ministry with the Poor Team to offer training event on September 16

The North Alabama Conference Ministry with the Poor Team invites you to a free event on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, called "What Does Poverty Have to Do with Me?"

During the day, participants will gain an understanding of the impact of the racial wealth gap in our communities. They will also look at best practices for making a change and explore tangible ministries that might be implemented in our churches and communities.

Doors open at 8:30 a.m. The program will be from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.

The event is free and will take place at The Church at Stone River UMC in Decatur. The registration deadline is September 7.
