New and Renewing Churches introduces Moving Forward Together initiative
Executive Director of New and Renewing Churches Rev. Suzanne Katschke shares a new resource entitled "Moving Forward Together" which is an initiative created by New and Renewing Churches in partnership with Bishop Wallace-Padgett and North Alabama Conference leaders, pastors, and congregations.
The purpose of this resource is to provide support and resources for people feeling abandoned or displaced from their local United Methodist Church due to disaffiliation.
Rev. Katschke shares, "We welcome anyone who desires to remain connected to the United Methodist Church through discipleship, mission, sacrament, and worship."
The resources are listed at www.umcna.org/moving-forward-together. They include ways to connect online, receive pastoral care, attend a virtual worship service, get discipleship resources, move your membership, give, or contact one of the Conference's newly-created District Developers who will assist people to determine next steps. Resources will continue to be added as specific needs are identified.
There are several ways to access the resources and people ready to be in ministry with you.
