North Alabama Conference Historical Society fall meeting to be November 3


The North Alabama Conference Historical Society will convene for its fall 2018 gathering at historic St. Paul United Methodist Church in downtown Birmingham on Saturday, November 3, 2018. Registration will begin at 9 a.m. with the program starting at 9:45 a.m.

The program will consist of a presentation by Dr. William Nicholas on the desegregation of the North Alabama Conference. Dr. Nicholas is the author of the recently published book entitled Go and Be Reconciled: Alabama Methodists Confront Racial Injustice, 1954 - 1974. This book will be available at the meeting. Additionally, Laveeda Battle will do a brief overview of the part that St. Paul UMC played in this part of our church history.

There is no charge to attend the program but lunch following the meeting will be $10
